BetteJo, yipper - shocking, isnt it? This is probally the biggest problem with Public Health programs, you will have to wait for many services. If we had money we would also have (what they call here) "Private Health Insurance" - which would most likely get me in much sooner (assuming no pre-existing condition dance)....but "Private Health Cover" is just too expensive for us to carry. (Here employers dont offer Health Insurance plans like they do stateside - so many people as stuck with only thier public health service, while the rich get better treatment in more timely fashion - you know, same old song and dance!

YW - I havent had the misfortune of an ER experience here - and I sincerely hope I NEVER do! Good onya surviving that, there are some horror stories there, eh?

I tell you what Lavender, I am SO against socialized medicine - it's STILL the people who have the most money who get the best care. At least here - I can get in for an elective surgery within a few weeks anyway. I mean really, what if your job depended on that operation? Sigh-h-h.
