Take it down to the local sushi joint. The chef may just declare it to be some exotic gourmet delicacy :)

It's a sea sponge.
We get a lot of those in British waters. I've come across them in in many garish colours, some with extra nobbles and ridges. People should be more considerate and not discard these things after they've finished!...

Ghosh, I'm a biologist and have not seen something gross like that yet, nor have I the faintest idea what it could be. You should really send the pic to some cryptozoic chat. hehehe Maybe it's not even from this earth... Yak
