Everyones a Christian at Christmas...

...as long as there are gifts involved.

If everyone practiced what they preached all year long instead of applying a core belief system strategically in exchange for cash and prizes*...well, then Id have nothing to complain about.

That would be so cool.

But Christmas, means Christ-mass. Got that? CHRIST-MASS.

Not: Santa Worship Week.
Not: Annual Tree Slaughter.
Not: International Commerce Appreciation Interval.
Not: Financial Castration for the Purposes of Impressing Visiting Relatives Day.

I wish I knew the details for the pic Im using here, Im sure its Mary recieving the Holy Spirit, its beautiful. You might find it interesting that Mary was Jewish.

Personally, Im Atheist all the way. But I would defend your right to believe what you want to believe. I would hope that whatever your belief, that it contains universal ideals like being good to your fellow man, the earth, and all its creatures. Not beating each other over the head in conversion attempts, or blowing each other up in the name of Whomever....ah geeze, dont get me started!!

Just love one another for fux sake!

Of course Mary was Jewish, JC was Jewish too, after all he founded this Christ(ianity).

>Just love one another...
Some call it an orgy :)

Have a very Merry Thursday, I'll be trying to poison the relatives tomorrow.

I will only love people who do not have body odor and sexually transmitted diseases, even then I may only love a few. I can't love everyone. I am so intense and passionate, I will run out of steam.

I get annoyed when, at Christmas the church opens its doors to the homeless but, a few days later they are ignored as they sleep on the steps by the locked door of the 'warm house of God'...

I do believe in Christ but think Xmas is a full-on PAGAN festival having precious little to do with anything as told in the Bible...

I need to find a new name for my 25th of December. Some family suggestions were, dead tree day, present day ( they cant have that because thats what I call my birthday) or Boxing Day Eve. I like Boxing Day Eve. That would make the day before the Christians Christmas the Eve of Boxing Day Eve. Lol sorry for using your comments for my ponderings. I think I just worked out my dilemma though CHEERS Wishing you a wonderful 2009

Didn't realize you had this blog! Good post. I'm more spiritual than religious..ha...doesn't that sound arrogant... More of a metaphysician, science and religion type person...

enjoyed it, fun read.
